The Company

Economic Growth Solutions Ltd (EGS) has been created to deliver growth to local and national economies. This is done through supporting ambitious small and medium sized companies to become more competitive and grow.

In October 2016, EGS secured a £10.2m government contract to deliver the Manufacturing Growth Programme, a support programme that will work with over 3400 SME manufacturing businesses through business improvement projects and create over 4000 new jobs. The programme has helped businesses create new products, open up new markets, improve productivity and become more competitive by March 2019.

In April 2019, EGS will be partnering with Oxford Innovation Services to continue the delivery of the Manufacturing Growth Programme across the country until March 2022.

As a result of this development, EGS now has the need to recruit a Manufacturing Growth Manager to support the delivery across the Yorkshire region including the Leeds City Region LEP, Humber LEP and Yorkshire region from 1st April 2019.

The Role

The Manufacturing Growth Manager will play an integral role in sourcing the right volume, mix, size and quality of clients on to the MGP helping to achieve the overall contract targets. The role is responsible supporting clients and developing them with business support through account management and being there go-to for experienced advice and support.

The successful candidate will be liable for ensuring all clients gain the correct help and support at the right time and that they complete their improvement project journey on the support programme on time, delivering demonstrable improvements and measurable growth.

The Person

To be successful in the role, you will require an In-depth knowledge of the business support landscape, ideally have transferable manufacturing experience and be comfortable in an account management environment with a focus on quality.

You will need to be highly credible and develop the experience as a go-to business adviser with experience of working with and developing growing businesses. What’s more important is your credibility in delivering what you promise.
